Ana Ivanovic on Beijing News Weekly

Ana recently graced the covers of two magazines in China: Sports Illustrated and the popular lifestyle publication Beijing News Weekly (BQ).

The following are short extracts from each interview:

Sports Illustrated China: You once told us that you do not like losing, even when playing chess with your coach, so, are you still bearing that will in mind? Have you ever sensed the pressure caused by your will to win? How did you handle that?

Ana: It’s not easy to lose, that’s for sure! I am a very positive person and I try not to get too down, but sometimes I cry after a match, because there are always so many emotions inside, but then about an hour later I am feeling a lot better.

Regarding pressure, I used to put too much pressure on myself because of the rankings. I wanted so much to reach the top 10, and that stopped me from playing my best tennis, because I was thinking about it too much. The way I improved was to forget about the rankings and focus only on my game, and that way the results, and the ranking, comes automatically. Read More

US Open 2008 Outfits Review

The event ended few months ago. I know! But I just want to review the most stunning outfits worn by these talented y
oung ladies as I started my first blog and my passion for tennis combined with fashion just keeps going stronger. You are more than welcomed to leave any comments..

Let me start off with my favorite tennis player,
Maria Kirilenko of Russia. Though she didn’t go far in this event but what an eye-catching lady in this Adidas by Stella McCartney outfits. This is the new collection of fall/winter 2008 outfits. I personally like Stella McCartney design for this one especially the skirt. Her styles do not follow other brands and very unique. It keeps me guessing of how her next design would look like and I know for sure it’ll be gorgeous as always.

Wow! She is
Jelena Jankovic, this year finalist. For me, she already wins with her post in this picture J. I was always convinced Reebok tennis gear are very sporty-looking but I have to give a huge applaud for this collection. It’s very different in a good way in terms of color combination (mellow yellow & light grey). She looks very feminine in this dress by adding bow in front of the dress. This could be the best outfit of her so far.

It’s Reebok again! I feel that Nicole Vaidisova looks great in black dress. Well, if you look at the right picture she looks great too. It’s good to see a player wear different colors or styles of outfit in one tournament.

Next, the lovely Ana Ivanovic. She looks beautiful in any outfit but she’s been wearing this Adidas outfit since Wimbledon. So, it’s a little bit disappointing to me. I’m looking forward to see her in the new outfit very soon.

I can sense sweetness of Dinara Safina in this pink outfit while Elena Dementieva looks vintage in this Yonex outfit as she wore a denim-lookalike dress.

Ladies!! See ya all next tournament :)
